Rehabilitation//
Musculoskeletal rehabilitation is designed for those left with disabilities, impairments or dysfunction following disease, disorders or trauma.
Diagnosis and treatment of movement for the muscles, nerves or joints can often reduce symptoms, improve function and well-being and condition the body to be able to cope with future stresses placed upon it.
The aim of musculoskeletal rehabilitation is to give the individual the opportunity to reach the highest level of function possible. By assessing postural alignment and individual / combined movement patterns, pain, weakness, joint stiffness / instability and any sensory changes may be improved.
Whilst hands on treatment may be given where necessary the main focus is on education. Correcting faulty movement patterns such as sitting, walking and various other work or fitness activities is key to long term success and so corrective exercises will be prescribed to facilitate posture and movement.
